Objective completed: Enhanced vocabulary and understand sentence structure.
Practiced vocabulary: deplore, efface, enmity, exult, frivolous, gratuitous, improvident, absorption, accomplice, affiliation, altercation, ambiguous, austerity, authentic, auxiliary, ridiculous, hospitality.
Learned subject, object, and verb in sentence construction.
Literature and Composition I
Objective in course: Develop reading comprehension and analytical skills.
Reading: Narrative of the Life of David Crockett (autobiography).
Mathematics
Objective: Strengthen foundational math skills.
Practiced PEMDAS (order of operations).
Studied vertical and adjacent angles and properties of triangles.
Algebra 1
Objective: Build skills in algebraic problem-solving.
Began evaluating algebraic expressions.
Chemistry
Objective: Understand molecular structures and properties.
Crafted water molecule model using Styrofoam balls (hydrogen and oxygen atoms).
Learned about water polarity, color coding (oxygen: red, hydrogen: white), atomic reactions when frozen, hydrogen characteristics, and its periodic table location.
Spanish 1
Objective: Reinforce foundational Spanish knowledge.
Started beginner-level Spanish to build on existing basics.
Elective. Personal Finance (Taught by Jason)
Objective: Develop financial literacy and decision-making skills.
